What's going on with Laser Levels?

We've been asked this quite a bit lately. Looking at laser levels on our site, you'll quickly see that many of them are on backorder. The question is, why?

Apparently, there is a little chip inside these levels that is currently in very short supply. Short supply as in almost non-existent. All of the manufacturers are in the same boat right now, so any that aren't currently on backorder probably will be soon.

If you need a laser level, I strongly suggest looking for ones that show stock numbers on the individual product pages. Those are the only ones we can 100% guarantee will ship in a timely fashion. I'll post an update when we get word on things getting back to normal, but this is the situation as of now.
