Today, we’re taking a close look at a Makita circular saw. Not just any saw, and not a typical 7-1/4″. We’re moving up to bigger and badder with the 5402NA 16-5/16″ circular saw.
What strikes you first is that this thing is huge. Compared to a normal 7-1/4″ circular saw, the blade has 4 times the surface area. It’s huge to hold on to, although it only weighs 28.7 pounds. With that size, it seems like it should be really loud. Suprisingly, it isn’t. The huge depth control lever makes for incredibly secure adjustments.
